Citroen Nemo wins inaugural 'Best City Van' award

03-05-2012

In the inaugural Trade Van Driver awards, the Citroen Nemo has picked up the prize for ‘Best City Van’. The diminutive Citroen Nemo drove off with the title despite stiff competition from some of the other big names operating in this sector.

The Trade Van Magazine awards panel was quick to praise the nimble little van, stating: “The cheeky Nemo is perfect for city based operations. Its small dimensions are ideal for squeezing into the tightest of spaces, making it an excellent choice for multi-drop drivers. However, it is still capable of carrying up to 2.8m3 of cargo and returns amazing fuel economy figures. Add to this the expert back-up from Citroen’s ever-increasing number of Business Centres and you have a worthy winner.”

The Nemo has been snapped up by fleet managers working in a wide range of industries. Its fuel efficiency, low cost and manoeuvrability make it suitable for a variety of operations, whether in or out of town.

Measuring less than four metres long, the Nemo’s 660kg payload, combined with a flexible load compartment, results in cargo space you would expect to find in a much larger van. The Nemo also offers van insurance customers a good degree of choice, with three different trim levels and a choice of petrol or diesel engine which can deliver a combined cycle fuel economy of up to 68.9mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 109g/km.

Optional extras include engine Stop & Start and an EGS automated manual gearbox, which are both available for a small additional cost.

If you’re the proud owner of a new Citroen Nemo then you’ll need to find a great deal on your van insurance to supplement the great deal you’ve already received on the van. Here at Van Compare we’ll scour the UK’s leading insurers on your behalf to find you the best deal.
